What do think is the best gentleman's knife out there is, any company any size. The use would be edc stuff. Just curious to see what everyone picks are.

The Chris Reeve Mnandi is outstanding.

The Mnandi in the pic below has a damascus blade. The standard Mnandi blade is made of S30V stainless. The S30V may well be the better blade.
But, the damascus looks great.

The Mnandi is a well built knife. A fine gentleman's knife EDC, but that is a little different than a hard use EDC.

A Strider PT is maybe pushing the definition of a gentleman's knife, but it is more beefy than the Mnandi and maybe a better choice if your EDC chores involve frequently cutting cardboard boxes.

Kershaw 1460 Splinter; Quince wood handle.
3" razor sharp AUS8A blade, light - 2.3 oz.
Classy dress knife, about $50. on the bay..

Since you specified EDC, my vote would go to the Kershaw Gentleman's Knife -- VG-10 blade, black micarta scales, flawless fit and finish. About $75. Comes with a nice black leather sheath, but it's slim enough for comfortable pocket carry.

If you include the Chris Reeve Small Sebenza in the gentleman's knife catagory, then you are talking about a beefy, sub 3 inch folder
that can be plain or beautifully fancy.

Yeah, what he said. :thumbup:

In Prodos , the Mnandi or William Henry . If you are a gent who needs to play rufff , the Mnandi would be a better choice .

Customs are an area I know very little about . With Prodos of that quality who needs em , and the long waiting lists !

Chris

William Henry, pretty much hands down as a gents knife;
