I'd been reading a half dozen adventure books that took you from Brazil to the yukon in search of big game animals. (circa 1900) After reading some of the stories of bear and cat attacks I ask myself the question, what if I were in that spot. This set of knives was a result of that question.
The blades are:1095-5160-15n20- 448 layers. They are clay hardened etched blued and hand buffed.
The drop point with the false edge is 19 inches tip to crown. The handle is stag crown, cast white bronze, box elder burl, black ash burl and N.S. fittings.
The dual edged piece was fashioned from a disc. and picture of a Zagaya, a south American spear point used to pierce a chest cavity. This knife is 15 inches tip to crown with like handle and blade material. There are no sheaths for them at this posting.
The bear scrims were done by: Diane Hecht of Port Huron, Mi. who is a great lady to work with and does beautiful work besides. Thanks Diane.
These knives will be on display at the Koval knife show in Col. Ohio on the 8th and 9th of Oct. Stop by my table and introduce yourself.

I know these knives are big, strange, an just this side of ugly but give me your impressions. I can handle it.
