Does it exist?

I'm just getting into traditionals and there are SO MANY!! Been going through all the pic threads but lots don't have model names/numbers and most are half open and I'd love to see what they look like in all positions (fully opened, closed, from the top for thickness and in hand) to get the total view of a knife.

With all that said, I wanted to see if there is a size comparison chart to get a better idea of what's what. And what they look like in hand would be a bonus.

If not, could we start one? . maybe use a $1 bill for comparison as well as with other knives, traditional and modern (Sabenzas, Grips, etc). Quality information like make/model of each would be a great add too.

Hope this takes off as I think it would be very helpful for lots of others in making informed decisions.

Usually, the manufacturer has the closed length of the knife on their page. That's usually a great indicator on it's size.

Yes, from what I have learned, you generally don't get OAL of either the blade or the opened knife.

I think it's a good idea, and would like it to catch on. I am often left wanting more information on size concerning traditional folders.

Here is a quick size comparison shot for another three idea that I haven't finished yet, showing differences in sizes closed:

And another to show how closed length is only one part of the whole- size variation within a closed length:

The best way to find comparisons is to ask about specific models, many times one of us will have the knife in question and be glad to show it alongside our other knives.

Here is a shot of some open blades to add to the thread- all new and in order of decreasing sharpness from left to right as they came out of the tube (taken for yet another thread I have not started)
