Hello Everyone,

Caleb finished up the picture a few days ago of my big fighter I made for the BLADE show. I thought I would go ahead and post it on here for you all to see. I think he did a great job on the pic. This knife wasn't on my table long so many of you who were there didn't get to see it yet.

The double edged blade is forged from 1080, 15N20 and 1095 in a mosaic pattern with a twisted pattern on the primary edge. The blade is 16 1/2 inches long and every bit of it is sharp, top and bottom. :) The overall length is 22 1/2 inches. The handle is made of pre-ban walrus ivory. The fittings are blued steel with my own engraving and 24k gold inlays. It's the biggest knife I've built to date.

Let me know what you think, good, bad or ugly. :D Have a great evening and thanks for looking.

Kyle,

I didn't get a chance to see this one at Blade, tho I heard about it.

I can see from Caleb's pics that I really missed something special.

Somebody's got a Masterpiece!

John

I don't know how I missed that one........that's SO FINE!

It was gone from Kyle's table early. The new owner had taken it. I went over just to see it, and was to late. Looks like some terrific work, Kyle! Caleb shows it off well.

Truly impressive work sir. Your talent seems to be without bounds. Caleb is doing exceptional work as well.

Of all the great work posted on this site, nothing ever looks better to me than your work...you get all the amazing detail and craftsmanship (patterns, inlays, materials) and put them just right in blades with amazing lines so that the whole package just looks so cohesive, like it never could have been anything but what it is...if that makes any sense. So many different elements just looking so natural together.

Got to handle this one...guess I was one of the lucky few. Really BIG knife with all of Kyle's attention to detail. Great stuff!

I'm pretty speechless Kyle. One of the best I've seen from anyone..... ever. I can already tell you that this will by my number one pick for the 'Best Bowie' thread later this year.

And, as we've come to expect, the photo is as phenomenal as the knife.

Thats incredible! Wow. I wondered about this one since I hear of it. No disappointment. Its crazy that you impress so much with every piece.

Now THAT'S a knife!

Unbelievable talent.

I'm not a fan of larger knives, so the length isn't what I would pick. The materials choice is wonderful and of course the craftsmanship appears amazing. I really like the ivory with the damascus and against the polished/engraved/gold inlaid/blued(?) hardware. Overall execution is wonderful and an incredibly beautiful knife.

Spectacular Fighter !
Really like how you did the twist pattern on the primary edge..
Impeccable work superbly displayed.
Someone got a truly masterful centerpiece for their collection.
Thanks for showing, Kyle.

Doug
