"The Big Hit"

Hello,

I have a question for you guys.

I just finished watching the movie "The Big Hit" starring Mark Walhburg. Near the end of the movie, there was a fight between Mark and a latino guy. The latino guy had two knives with rings on the end. Does anybody have any information on those knives?

It's been too long since I've seen it, but just guessing from your description... Did the knives have hawkbill blades on the other end from the rings? If so, they were probably kerambits.

The knives in question were between 10 and 15 inches in length and had a ring on the end of the handle. The blades were almost fantasy like.

This question (as with most movie knife questions) has been asked before, and I think the consensus was that the knives were probably customs rather than production blades. You probably won't be able to find them for sale, though you might be able to find something similar.
 
Lou Diamond Phillips is the actors name. He's a knife knut, and has often been called upon to knife fight in movies. I've only seen him use customs, but the only other movie that I can remember the knives from are the Young Guns movies. All customs in that one, too. Rumor has it that he has a favorite maker for these film blades, but I don't know who it is.
