It's not how big it is, it's what you......oh, hell, it's how big it is. And, that's big!

hmmm, interesting prospect.... turn it into the OG :D still need to figure that out....

Whoa that's f@qing awesome. Ill take it, lol. If this isn't a custom I'm staying logged on here for ever till you sell it. Lmao

Well well well! Daniel, this is the first biggun from you that has really piqued my interest! I'm very much a fan of long and lean, if you ever get back to a point for taking custom orders, this has really driven an idea that only you can bring to fruition. I will likely make one myself, but I just can't pull off the asymmetric grind like you.

Please, PLEASE, keep that in mind for future ventures!

Ya know I was going to comment on this and every thing I stated to type just did NOT sound right . Commenting on the "Big one" is a slippery slope:D

 Now, that's a chopper!!
:D Thanks!

Will do! I'm glad you like it too! It is much different than most of my other choppers. I'm still going for a weight forward design but this one is pointy. I need something to defend my lair against pirates with.

:D true story

That's a Killer! Is that your home protection model Daniel ; )
Straight up! ...people and encroaching trees.

Choppah!
What handle?
Handle? No, it attaches to another chopper with a chain. I'll be sure to leave the swedge unsharpened for safety.

That's going to be something else Daniel! Are you doing the grinding after HT on that blade?

Thanks! And yes, I am nuts.

They are tougher to grind post heat treat but I can put the blade on a surface plate and it is dead straight! I want to keep the heat treat finish on the flats so straightness was crucial... I grind just about everything post heat treat.

...

Yep, you're one crazy 'squatch.
It's a good kind of crazy though ;)

Days off? Are you kidding there are knives to be made, and they aren't going to make themselves! Kidding take off and give your two ladies a little daddy time :)

Easy, tough-guy.
r u talking Sunday off, Daniel?

:D No!

On Sundays I lift weights while grinding knives. After that I run through the snow a la Rocky IV and then fly to Philly and run the steps.

lol! I do take random days off and am lucky enough to get to spend a lot of time with Jade and Sara. Right now I am just driven to grind..

I just walked in from working on this knife, it is 8:28 pm here... it is looking incredible! I did a free hanging paper cut with it, look out far a test video soon.

I'm really proud of this one, it may be my best yet! The grind is so massive and intimidating...I am really happy to have done it well! I took it to a shiny 600 grit so far and feel really lucky to have gotten it right.

Jimmy Fikes is my inspiration for this one and many others. It isn't really like his knives as it is much different and not as good but I still try to make them cool and sharp!
