DISCLAIMER: There will be a rather fat (or fatter man than was before) man sawing in this video. Testing a tip left on the BK&T forums. Beware. If you are allergic to fat men using a bow saw, this topic is not for you, move along. You have been warned.

...Come on, I'm not that fat... or ugly... why you make me post a disclaimer? Right, okay... Just that one time...

Okay, I saw this. And I've used a bowsaw. I won't say WHO said this will work. But they mayheps jus come along and claim that it won work like dey sais.

The BK&T bowsaw. Just cut off a green branch, and strap it to the saw, and you got it made!

Uh. Well kinda. In truth. A good green, bow saw blade, of the right shape and length is hard to find. In my defense, I only cut one. And the one I cut was perfect in terms of shape, and green and werkn. However, as you'll see (in full on video no less) It do not hold up.

Some poor folks can't (or won't) read a well thought out review, so that's in a 2 minute video. It might work, if you bring bailing wire. The 550 cord. Don't cut it.

I like the coolant system, don't know how effective it was though. Cool idea, may need some refining.

The 1950's called, they want their hairstyle back. :D

Good post, I fixed the vid for ya. And hey, you aren't that fat. :D

Great vid, and good job on that saw.

I like to use pomade for cotton balls and fire starting.
I bet I know what you use pomade for.

Now make the same video again using some bank line......I will wait.

Thanks for the vid. :)

In all seriousness hew, that was a great bowsaw vid.

I was disappointed in teh paracord! It's supposed to be the be all-end all in this situation. And it gave out on me. My camera man seemed to be under the impression that we'd retake the shot. Uh. No. 100 degrees with high humidity? Time to pretend we're roughing it, and head into the AC. I was surprised that 1) I didn't notice the 550 shear off. and 2) the 550 sheared off after so few strokes. This method might be viable, but pack baling wire, not 550 cord.

:-)

In the last bit of that video, I should have been like. 'this is for internet fame! Get my good side' sadly, it was hot, and I wanted to come inside.
