The BK&T phenomenon...

So, i just recieved my latest adition to the family. I needed a sturdy fixed blade for edc, so a BK14 had to find it's way into my pocket.
The funny thing is i haven't even had it for a day, and i'm trying to decide what blade to get next. There's just something about these knives that makes me want more.

I do have other knives from other makers like ontario, cold steel and stuff, but somehow i can't seem to make myself love them the same way i do my becker knives.
Like the RTAKII that i usually bring with me to the woods because i don't have a 9 or 4 yet. It's a kick ass knife, sturdy as heck and it stands up to my abuse really well, but i can't help but wish it was a big becker. Same thing goes for my Rat1 that's now officially retired from it's edc-duty because my eskabar arived.

Well, i'm babbling. Now to convince my wife i really, really, really need a BK4 or BK9. And a 5 :D
 
congrats on the 14. pics when you are able. def need a 9 and 5..... good luck with the convincing.... hope it works out for you :thumbup:
 
Loving my EsKabar's. especially with the added Zytel and Micarta grips.

I love my 9. We used it quite a bit while camping this weekend. I think the 2 is still my favorite though. It is kind of like Pokemon, you hafta catch them all.
 
Thanks to all ;) And yeah, i most definately need some big beckers now. I'm just having a little trouble deciding between a 9 or a 4 for chopping stuff up.
 
9 has less of a learning curve than the 4. And is a bit easier to sharpen.

That's not a problem - get the 9. No, wait, get the 4. No, get the 9. Maybe get the 9 first, and then the 4. Eff it, get them both at the same time and save on shipping. And then you can live on ramen noodles for the week. But you won't have time to eat, what with all the chopping and batoning you'll be doing with your new Beckers. Then the only decision you'll have to make is what to tell your significant others to explain in the most rational sounding way possible why you bought two very large pieces of sexy American made steel.
Let me know what you come up with. I'm still hiding some of mine from the missus.

Get both. I have not cut anything with the 9 yet since its 7 hours old and stripped on the bench. BUT THE 4 IS AWESOME! A lot of fun to "play with"
 
You need a BK9. You can't not have a BK9. The BK9 can cut through the fabric of time and space. Don't do it though because you'll destroy all of us.

You have a template that you just copy and paste this from, right? ;) Or do you have it tattooed somewhere?
