My nephew is home for spring break...so we plan on getting some major camping/fishing in this week. Today we did a lil Bassin' at Crown lake.

Had a lot of fun just BSing and trying to knock each other out of the boat LOL

I caught one, He had one on but he dropped his rodtip literally 3'' from where I could get the net on it and it spit the hook at me.

It sure is gettin purdy in the Ozarks!

The 16 rode quite nicely, I like to carry the sheath horizontally on left hip crossdraw. It cuts fishin' line like a champ ;)

aw, man, where's the fish stabbing? :)

Hello fellow Ozarkian
That's a nicely sized knife (and not a bad bass either!). How did i not notice this one?
The BK2 always looked a little cumbersome but i've always liked BKT, good solid knives. I'll have to pick one up, but of course it needs nice wooden handles and a leather sheath.

Looks like a good time thrill. on putting the 16 to work. Been too long since I've been bass fishing!.

Looks like a good time. I agree with Bladite...we need more fish stabbing!!

Its a great knife! also comes in a clip point as the BK17 and a trailing point BK15. Lots of pics/info on the new BK&Ts (they're calling them the Tweener Trio) in the Becker subforum.

what part of the ozarks is ur homeground?

Jesus Thrill, you are one ugly SOB :D

Looks like fun! I haven't dropped a line in the mater in a while; looks like it is about time to break out the poles again!

I'm in the northeastern part closer to St. Louis but I do like to hang around the border. In fact I was fishing on Table rock and I saw the sign for the Arkansas border. I was wondering what would happen if i caught a fish on the Arkansas side and reeled it in on the Missouri side. Legal fish? I don't know haha :D

But I'll definitely have to check out the clip point version. I've been dying for a Becker.
Thanks

They have a special ''Border Pass'' that AR and MO residents can buy, so while on border lakes u can fish either side of the line. I just buy AR AND MO licenses every year ;)

As for the Tweeners, the official "probable'' estimated ''maybe'' release date for them is April 1st....but the Knife Works thats in the Smoky mountains in TN has a special pre-production run of them for sale NOW on their webpage. check 'em out

here's a lil taste to help ur decision

I really wanted to...but this one went back. Never been much on eating Bass. Now if I hit a good Crappie bed u will be seeing some BKT fish-batoning action!

Acceptable. Crappie > Bass
