This is my second attempt at filigree. My first was the green knife in the Little Rock thread. At this point I have roughly four weeks of experience in filigree. Two of which I was teaching myself how to do it. I'm still working out the kinks and trying to refine my work, but I was pretty happy with the first one and even more so with this one.

It has around 1,200 pieces of silver, 6 black lip pearl inlays, and the blade is 1080/15N20 in ladder pattern. On this one I was attempting to learn granulation. That I'm still not very good at. lol.

I hope you guys like it!

Well you already know how amazing I think this knife is. Thanks for the opportunity to add it to my collection and keep up the good work Logan.

I'll start out by saying that the knife is not my style. Having said that, It is beautiful. A real piece of art. I'm not even gonna guess how much time you spent on it. I would just say, probably a lot.....Hopefully you got enough for it (assuming it's sold) to pay for your time and effort. The more time I spend looking at some of these customs the more I'm amazed at the talent and just...persistence and drive that I see in some of these creations.

Congratulations sir!

Beautiful. I'm impressed without really knowing what goes into the process. The outcome speaks for itself.

she's a beauty, and with nice simple flowing lines. Not too busy or forced looking even though there's a lot going on here.

Amazing patience and skill Logan. Do you have Russian blood? Reminds me of Zaza Rivilshilli (sorry about the spelling) I've always adored his on handles and sheaths.

Thank you so much, guys! I really appreciate it. The comments/compliments help inspire me to make more. It motivated me to keep working on this one after I did the first one. So I am really glad that you do own it, Ron, and even more so that you like it as much as you do.

Bruce, I wish I had Russian blood! I love their work. In all honesty, if it hadn't been for Mike Ruth and his family insisting that I take the Zaza piece that they own, this knife wouldn't have happened. It helped me out tremendously! I'm hoping to finish another one soon and I plan on making a sheath to go with it. If it is any where close to Zaza's work, I'll be more than pleased. lol

Ron made a great addition to his collection. I like that piece a lot. We do have a couple of Zaza's pieces so do enjoy that type of artistry. Glad you showed it.

Stunning work Logan, truly! I saw the first version and found myself just crawling the walls in anticipation of seeing the second knife. You absolutely did not disappoint my friend! I can't even imagine the headaches that went into making that beauty, but if the new owner ever decides that he's tired of it...I'm calling dibs RIGHT NOW! Congratulations man, you totally knocked that bad boy straight outta the park! It does my heart good to see you just going for it and embracing that incredible talent that's always lying just beneath the skin. I'm HIGHLY impressed brother...now make me one:D

Thank you! If I ever get very good at it, I will consider it Michael. I would hate to come over and see it beside a really good filigree knife. lol. I'm already self conscience about them enough as it is.

Very fine looking knife, gorgeous blade and intricate design on the handle. Impressive and outstanding work!
