The blade on my knife is turning dark grey - Patina on a 2014 BF knife

Used my 2014 BF Jack to cut up some strawberries and kiwis this weekend. Looks like the start of a nice patina. This is a using knife and I wanted to develop the patina naturally on this one instead of forcing it with vinegar, mustard, or something else. It actually starts turning relatively quickly and looks pretty good I think; I did rub some of the strawberry juice onto the back spring to start it turning too. Sorry about the photo's; they are not up to the quality of many of the posters on B.F.

Well, see now, that there is the rub. Unless you can swear -- under hypnosis! -- that you would have been cutting up strawberries and kiwis anyway, and that it just so happened that this was the only knife around to do the job, then you were in fact "forcing" a patina.

Seriously, though .......... great looking knife. :thumbup:
