The Blade show scramble

Blade show is just around the corner and only a dozen knives left after the Novi, MI. show. Even with a resperator I can taste the difference between 5160 , O1, and damascus. Remember to be safe as you grind till dark. One less knife will not hurt you. :cool:

I have to make 5 JS test knives and then some high end folders/bowies to pay the bills. I only have 3 JS knives made, the forth is almost done. Been working on orders for the last 2 months also, so I'll be burning it from both ends and tasting the steel to:D See ya there.

If Kim is making knives sun up to sundown, that means he's grinding about 4,328 knives per day! Wow!
 
Hey Kim it was good meeting you at Novi hopefully we wil bump into each other in the pit a Blade..

I'm right there with you Kim. I'm trying to have about 20 and I've only got 10, plus Stamford in two weeks and orders. Can't wait to meet you at the show...we can both lean on a wall and huff & puff awhile. Hang in there you'll make it.
 
I am supposed to have two done for the show. Hey wait, I don't have a table at the Blade Show ;) But none the less, I know it is only two, but I don't know where I am going to find the time, now that I have a "real" job.
 
I'll have what I'll have and thats going to be it. I'll have almost a 3 month break till the next show so I won't have to push to hard for that one. BAKCA, Blade West, and a real good chance of doing the Japenese Knifemaker's Guild Show the end of October. Those 3 are in a two month time span......
 
Hey Kim dont sweat it man! The Single Malt Scotch, and other assorted spirits get the taste of knifemaking off yer tongue pretty quick in Atlanta!! :cool: I cant wait to be done myself.

Thanks guys, I'm glad to see I'm not alone. Please stop by my table(B&W Bladeworks) look for the big black and green banner isles 17. or Yell at me as I go by. If all else fails I will be in the pit till 11pm or ???? even if you don't have a table bring something to show and talk about.
 
Just got in from the shop...........just about two am. Trying to get my test knives done.......My back was out for almost three months and I am not where I want to be! I wanted to be done a while ago....so now I gota burn the wick at both ends and still not rush my work. Nothing like a little pressure to motivate you. Looking foward to visiting the pit and having a few.
Stop by....I'll be at 16-O.......One table in from the center display.
