Has anyone heard of this maker ? Ran into it by accident, and saw the video and pictures on their site, seems convincing, but ---
they say it's made of k110, makers state it will outlast your grandchildren "the last knife you'll ever need" forever warrantee with free replacement if broken. .16 thickness, carbon nitrade coating, seems quite nice. Runs 224 USD a unit

The ad copy positively reeks of Ginsu/As Seen on TV type $#!+
I was skeptical myself I just saw the video, they said they wholly want their customers to abuse the living lights out of it with promises of it never breaking
Still skeptical

Wish I could link their two main websites just for laughs. They claim to use K110 steel, but then say the extended pommel is D2. K110 is a D2 equivalent, they just wanted to sound fancy.

There is no doubt in my mind that these are made inexpensively in China from D2. They claim “Though other steels out there are just as strong, they have 1 MAJOR FLAW FOR THE SURVIVALIST. You can't sharpen them in the field.”

LOL…

And they want what, $250 for it? It’s a ~$45 knife with apparently a good warranty (as long as they’re in business). I suggest you pass on this one.

I wasn't seriously going to buy one, I just saw little to no Info so I wanted to see what people thought

I;m not impressed with neither the Blak knife site nor it's parent Lone Survialist. Looks like a big markting show,
The knife itself may or may not be great but with that level of marketing mubo jumbo it's very hard to tell.

I don't know man. It says that the Blak Viper is "The most dangerous knife on the market". It sounds quite serious to me.

It's easy to tell if they are using the K110 or not. After all k110 is the D2 manufactured under the name of bohler. Therefore, they have to buy from bohler or a distributor authorized by bohler to say k110. op can send an e-mail and ask for documents of this. It also seems a bit suspicious to me, so much advertising etc.

The question is, is their K110 as good as Ginsu's surgical steel?
Seems it's better!

" It was vital to build a knife that could have multi-cutting functionality.

With so many specialized knives for EDC, skinning, batoning, carving, hunting, etc.

I needed a blade that had the POWER to baton and hack through the brush...

The durability and usefulness for aggressive & brutal everyday carry...

The sharp convex angle to skin animals quickly and as effortlessly as possible...

The concave slicing edge to slip through logs like butter to stack piles of tinder...

And the perfect puncture point after hunting small and large animals that could slice through meat and bone.

That's why I made the Blak Knife's DUAL BLADE.

With the Concave and Convex Edges, steel thickness, and precision point you'll be able to make every last cut from shredding logs, to carefully skinning small game even delicate fish.

You'll have raw precision power in your palm and on your side for every situation imaginable."

D2 with description of "strong" and "easy to sharpen"... Yes, something wrong.

Makes it sound a lot like a light Saber

Yeah. When a website is trying that hard to show off The Cred, I begin to hear "the promoter doth protest too much".

Methods and equipment used in heat treat? Hey, where's the factory? Not "where is your shipping address", where is the place where steel plates become knife-shaped? These are the questions I would like to see answered.

Edit: huh. They do list the Rockwell Hardness, or at least, their target hardness. If somebody buys one of these, I would very much like to see that 60-61 Rc independently verified.

I dunno, the presentation is on the loud side, but there are hints here and there that it might not all be fluff. I guess we'll see.
