Great video Mike. You are hitting on some keys points there. Thanks for helping all of us gain the respect for what we do. I'm proud to call you my friend.

EXACTLY!!....

To be honest when I started watching your videos a year or so ago I didn´t like them much.

didn´t get and didn´t like all the money talking and other stuff

but I kept watching because they were entertaining and always good to have something to talk about with friends

and then a few weeks/months ago you started a new approach

with the knifemaking secrets, showing other stuff as well and so on... I started to recognize interesting things in the background, you mentioned things I haven´t thought about or have never tried or seen

wanted to quit knifemaking a couple times lately but like JBS said, you kept inspiring me and that kept me going !

Thx for that ! maybe one day I´ll just show up and say thx in person

looking forward to more videos ..

stay safe

I don't make knives but I do have a small side manufacturing business which has grown at an amazing rate over the last 3 years and Mike is 100 percent spot on, you have to properly value your creations. There is a whole website of people selling their handmade items (including a few knives) called Etsy. 10's of thousands of people have learned that handmade items have a greater value than those that are mass produced, and are worthy of a premium, some people are making 6 figures a year, some have quit their day jobs and live solely on their sales. Knifemaking is no different, it is a skill that people will pay a premium for. I know that I personally only collect custom knives and I try to get them directly from the maker as often as possible. I know I am getting a high quality product and I am helping someone live their dream.

I am really looking forward to watching Mikes series and to take his knife knowledge and apply it to my business. It is sure to help a wide variety of us, knifemakers or not as long as we keep ourselves open to the message.

much respect
