Scott made me a Bolo several months back, and I just wanted to proclaim how much I am enjoying it. This thing ROCKS. I spend a lot of time in the woods, and I have used many, many larger blades. With that being said, this Bolo is hands down one of my all time favorites. Not only does it feel great in the hand with a nice weight and balance, the geometry on this thing is incredibly efficient. Scott Gossman gets it. He understands what cuts and what doesn't. The Bolo has the absolutely PERFECT amount of convex profile, which when combined with a great grind that produces a very keen edge, it blows through limbs like you wouldn't believe. I believe it was Mr. Kevin Estela that brought this Bolo design to Scott? Well, he brought it to the right guy. This thing is awesome. Try one out, you won't be dissapointed. :)

P.S.: I will try to get some good pics of the knife in use sometime soon.

Thanks for the compliments Ben. I really appreciate it. I'm glad you are getting some good use with the Bolo. I really like that design and think Kev hit the nail on the head with a fast, light weight chopper. Look forward to your pics.

i got my Bolo a couple weeks back and I've been using it to clear pathways through thick forest and cleaning up old barbed wire that surrounds one side of my property line. It is a fantastic knife for that purpose and an absolute pleasure to use. I've already hit a rock and barbed wire with the blade :eek: but a couple passes on the harbor freight belt sander and she cleaned right up. And then the deep pocket sheath that Scott made is excellent for constantly taking the blade in and out without having to deal with any straps or buckles. Thank you Kevin Estela for revealing your designs for all to use and thank you Scott Gossman for your craftsmanship!
 
You guys are most welcome. I am very pleased with my Bolo and it is still my preferred big camp knife. I personally believe if you love something or have a passion, you should share it. Well, this design is close to my heart and if others can enjoy it, I'm happy for them.
