Well guys & gals, found a new love...The Bonecutter.. Got mine from the DOTD on a Friday & it was in my grubby hands on Monday! Now that's FAST!

First thing I noticed were the smooth & graceful lines this blade has. Having more belly than my BAS, it tends to balance a bit more forward which I like. I also like the slight curve to the handle & the wider pommel which helps the balance . Needless to say, the knife fits like a glove & just begs to chop something anytime I hold it ( a LOT).

After about 15 minutes with a razor hone, I needed to see how she performed. So went out back to my usual cutting material. Sugarcane, NO contest. Actually cut through 2 of em the same time. (thanks to the forward balance :P).
Next came the coconut palm. Sliced (not chopped!) through a branch 5" across the flats! At this point I noticed that, where my BAS tends to twist in the hand, the Bonecutter stays solid. No twisting. OK, so I wipe my drool & press on...

Final test media, an old weathered 2x4. This wood is good & hard. NO issue for the Bonecutter. Bit into the wood with little effort on my part, & in no time I had 2 pieces of weathered 2x4. Checked the edge on it....Just as sharp as when I started..

The sheath is a great fit. I especially like the fact that there's no lacing on the front, giving the sheath a really clean look. Great looks & even better performance. Whats not to like?

Sgt. Khadka Makes one hell of a knife! Any of you guys that are sitting on the fence about getting a Bonecutter, Get one. You won't be disappointed!

THANK YOU YANGDU!

I picked up a DOTD Black BoneCutter by Sgt awhile back. It is my first khuk and I absolutely could not be more pleased with my knife. Everything from the scabbard to the blade and handle feels tight and solid. I can't put it down and find myself looking for vegetation and whatnot that needs clearing. The handle and wide buttcap seem very well done and needed only a little sanding to smooth off some rough edges. The weight and balance of the blade overall feels very good in the hand. I had read that anything less than 18 inches suffers abit in the chopping department which is probably true, but at 15 inches this thing bites good and deep with very little effort. I wanted to do my own write up with pics and stuff but currently my camera is dead so it may be some time.

Man. Been awhile since I've seen that particular icon/logon. :D

Nice review. Particular blades within a model can vary much when these are all handmade, as they are. Glad you got one that speaks.
