A pretty large box arrived today which happened to coincide with the grand kids day with us. Of course they were quite excited.

This is what we found inside.

Wife has been after Sir Bookie for one of his magical creations and to stifle her nagging he came through with flying colors. The work and effort involved are monumental. It's quite nice, pictures don't do it justice.

Brother and I have yet to get to hold it, but I'm sure I'll get my chance.
He had to settle for a cheap old uke I glued back together a couple weeks ago so he could show off his brand new Mohawk.

And of course a group shot because they wanted one.

This thing amazingly is also made to plug into an amp. Look forward to trying that out one of these days. Wife insist she's gonna learn how to play this thing, hope she follows through. I always wanted to learn the banjo but that never happened. Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs live on.

Thanks Bookie, you made the wife's day, she is deeply appreciative and loves the puddin out of this thing.

Bawanna, Thank you for the kind words. If the famous, talented, and rather "attractive" Samantha Fish (another Missourian, of course) can play one all over the world, Irene can do this, too!
