My "BOXL" arrived a few days ago, and all I can say is this is one of the best designs that I've ever handled. It feels as if it was molded to my hand and the edge is just insanely sharp:thumbup:
I took it out to a patch of woods behind my house and just started cutting and sharpening sticks and branches. I'm actually surprised at how light it feels in the hand. This blade performs like a BEAST! While doing some light bushcrafting, I had an army of skeeters attack my ass, so I started a small fire to smoke them away from me, so I could finish playin' with the BOXL. By the way, it shaved hairs out of the box, and it shaved hairs after I abused it:thumbup:
Also, the sheath is fantastic. It's light, compact, and the snap feature is very well thought out and secures the blade perfectly.
Bottom Line: The ergonomics, fit, and finish are superb. Dylan's craftsmanship is outstanding. And, most importantly, I have 100% confidence in carrying the BOXL in the woods whether it be a day hike or extended hunting trip in the mountains. I'm just glad I'm on the "Dibs List" for the Pocket Kilo....
Thanks Dylan. Your design is awesome brother!!
Here is a pic of the BOXL with my Springfield .45
