about two weeks after my collection sell off, ive finally got back into the black and i got some beckers back. I started my collection over again with only a bk11. Then i was gifted a bk7, got bk13 from ark, a bk5 because of idiocy, a bk10 from knife rights by sheer dumb luck, and now a bk2 from my wife (btw its brand new and the marks are from sharpening and removing the secondary bevel). As you can see in the pics all the big boys are sharpened ala Jerry Fisk style on my belt sander, and now they are even sharper than my mother in laws tongue. Now all i need is a bk9

And i got my grandfathers buck 119 back as well..

oh yeh and who says the the bk2 is TOO BIG for fine work never learned to sharpen from jerry fisk (via a video at a gathering you couldnt attend)

I know, but the cool look doesnt hold a candle to the sharpness. Removing that secondary bevel and making em a true sabre all the way to the shoulders makes em slice like nothing esle

Thanks man, it took lots of sacrifice but im back on track now (and even have a few paypal bucks to get me some azwelke kydex :D ) Now getting back my ps3 and my quad are going to be a bit more difficult since beckers are such a good price.
 
Maybe its just me, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what the BK2 is cutting in that last shot. Help there?

Also, its good to see you got them back. And its amazing how quickly it all happened.

Its a magazine page, thinner then your average paper and harder to cut clean since it wrinkles easier. It is amazing and im very thankful and humbled by it. I made a mistake and needed to pay for it with my toys, luckily for me beckers are such a great value and have such a great following that i was able to get my collection back in no time. Granted there are some blades i wont get back, but the beckers are.

That two tone look is nice. Been planing on doing that myself. Though just haven't the time. The bevels must die! When I FINALLY get my tweener I plan on giving it a FULL convex. Spine to blade.

You going to choil that 7?

Ohh... I see it now.

The reflection in the colored part of the page had me going for a while. It looked to me like you were holding something white (notecard? chalk? I had no idea), and then the reflection at the bottom had me thinking that it was powder of some sort that came from the cut (hence the chalk idea). See where I'm coming from?

Oh well, I'm fine with being crazy :D.

Also, I like to use receipts from the grocery store and other places like that to test sharpness. That stuff is pretty thin.
 
Got the pack back together in no time! While I love seeing the Beckers I am really glad you got that 119 back. Nothing like having grandpas knife.

Yeh lucky me i was able to "sell" it to a friend that actually just gave it back without repayment. Its the kinda people i surround myself with, much like the people here. just giving folks who got your back through whatever. I really cant believe how fast its take shape again, im really dumbfounded.
 
I will say one thing, i forgot just how bad the dulling prob is on the stock bk2 sheath. I sharpened it up fisk style, chopped some 2x4s and it still shaved hair but put it in and out of the sheath one time and its as dull as the latest wayans brothers movie. def gotta get it some new pants

Glad to see your collection is getting back up to standards! Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. I really need to check out those vids with headphones on.

ERG! I have barely touched my 11 since noticing. Gotta hit up ka bar as soon as I get my bk12. Or maybe azwelke.
mmmmm choices.
 
nice looking knives...

sharp is when you can push cut newspaper holding is at the very far corner, (as far away from the knife as possible) and pushing right threw...

scalpel, scary, sharp.. :D
