Two of the things are so well reviewed I wont bore you with a write up, the Sharpmaker and Mili-tec. Now I see what all the raves were about. The third thing I haven't heard much about. The Streamlight Key-mate. I got it to replace my Princeton-Tec Pulsar II, which has an iffy on/off switch. Cool little light for $12. Aluminum body, one LED (brighter than my ASP Sapphire), pocket clip, lanyard loop, 4 button cell batteries. The whole thing is about the size of a AA. Don't know why it isn't mentioned more often.

I've seen that flashlight various places, but haven't heard of anyone who has one. Post up some comments after you've had a chance to use it for awhile. I would be interested to hear about battery life and so on.

I bought about 60 of these lights to give away as Christmas gifts to my customers in the steel industry. They have been going over really well. I had been carrying an Arc AAA on my keychain, but with the company stopping production, I thought I might try one of these on my keys as a change, and give the Arc a break. I just started using it this week, so I don't have any run times, but it does give a bright beam that is very blue. The packaging says that it has a 96 hour run time. At start up the beam distance should be 33', after 1.5 hrs: 20', after 2 hrs: 10', after 24 hrs: 6', and after 96 hrs: 3'. I took the swivel snap link off, and attached the flashlight to a titanium screw link that I got from CountyComm.com.
