Dear Fellows,

as you knew out of this thread http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1057949-Fixed-Traditional-Brukskniv-Builld scruffuk (Thom) was building me a fixed blade. It is a scandinavian style fixed blade but no Puukko, Puukko used to be only Finish made but this one has a blade from Sweden and is made in the UK. It arrived today, just about one hour ago. I was just sitting in my mum´s shop and we were drinking coffee while nice girl from the postal service brought me the package.

I stopped the coffee-time with mum ;) and went off to open the package and getting some images.

Here they are...

The light inside the house doesn´t judge that beautiful wood, steel and leather - so I went outside in my backyard to get some real-day-light-pictures

Look at those great craftman skills!! The knife is really perfect - and I mean that in this way!

The new owner with this amazing piece of craftmanship

All I can do ... THANK YOU, THOM! That´s a such a wonderful knife. I really like it and it just feels great in hand. The sheath is great too. I don´t know what more to say... just - this will get some use and I´ll carry it - it´s a treasure for sure, but it´s nothing I gonna baby somehow.

:)

Wow - congrats on that, Andi!
Really stunning work, Thom!

Andi, so pleased the knife has arrived and that you are clearly chuffed with it.

I'm sorry it was a bit of a wait whilst I pieces it together....after I refused to let you buy one off the shelf.

Hopefully it will serve you very well and I'm glad to read it won't be pampered, it shall see some honest days work....and earn you a beer or four ;)

Enjoy this knife my friend, and thank you for agreeing to let me rustle you it up.

That is one very special knife, made for a very special guy, by a friend...very cool!
Congrats, and Well done Andi:thumbup:

It was really a pleasure watching your build thread on that knife Thom:thumbup:
Well done Sir!

Congrats Andi, that's a unique one. I especially like the excellent wood, those colors and swirls are magnificent.

And thank you Thom, I very much enjoyed the WIP pictures.

Thanks for the kind replies, fellows!

This is really a special knife for me and it wouldn´t be right to keep it inside the drawer/display. This will definitelly get some jobs to do. Especially because Thom made a perfect grind on that one.

Just in time for your birthday! Great timing and a great knife you can carry with pride for a lifetime Andi. Well done Scruff, you did an outstanding job there

I really like the ivory, brass, burl colour mix against the dark coloured steel. Superb choices there scruff. Must say I'm rather jealous.
