So.. I like folding "Pocket" knives.. all kinds of folding knives.. production, mid-tech, custom.. it doesn't matter.. I just like um.. I don't know why.. I just do.. whether it's a Chris Reeve Sebenza or Umnumzaan or a Jake Hoback Kwaiback.. a Benchmade 910 or Les George Talos.. Bob Terzuola ATCF or Eagle Rock.. Ontario Rat 1 or Cold Steal Recon 1.. From $2500.00 to $25.00.. I pretty much like them all.. sick right? Yea I know.. but as they say.. (who's they?) variety is the spice of life.. at least when it come to folding knives.. you got your slip joints.. your liner locks.. your frame locks.. your flippers... thumb studs, Spidie holes.. button locks.. the list goes on.. From Anso to Zero Tolerance.. and everything in between.. But that's not what this post is about now is it.. well not according to the Title anyway.. but I did say it would be long an boring .. and I will not disappoint...
Anyway.. as I often do I was watching a video on YouTube a couple of weeks ago.. I had seen the video before.. but I often revisit some of my favorites.. this particular video was titled "The Five Most Significant Folding Knives of the Last 50 Years." by TheApostleP Rob Bixby. Not an endorsement of Rob or his videos .. just saying it was my inspiration for this post.. (I do enjoy his videos). Of course we can all guess what the first knife on Rob's list was.. The Buck 110 Folding Hunter.. of course it was.. what else could it be? After watching the video.. I started to reminisce.. my mind returned to the days of my youth.. long long ago.. to a different time and place.. when I was a young solider in the U.S. Army.. and my first folding knife.. which was no "Pocket Knife" the Buck 110 Folding Hunter.. and how much I enjoyed owning it.. the year was 1976.. the place was Fort Richardson Alaska.. Man I loved that knife... I carried it on my duty belt and took it with me on many a hunting and fishing trip.. so.. I needed to get another one.. and after looking around on the forums.. the internet.. I discovered a whole new world of Buck 110 Folding Hunters.. Without further ado here is my second Buck 110 Folding Hunter.. not my last either.. I have reawakened my love for brass, wood and steal..
