I just got this Black 560 Sat. from an Buck ex-employee and he said it was a test knife... I think I'll see if Leroy can put a Damascus Blade on it... I think Dave had one like that and it look good... Any other ideas???

Leave it as it is. Those black 560's are getting hard to find. I was lucky to have Mr. Tin Sue send me one after reading a post where I said I would love to have one (Thanks TS).

If anything I would be on the look out for a used solver 560 to have a replaced blade, but that is just me.

Nice score by the way.

Hey all, I was wondering what the Black coating on the Blk 560 is? Is it pretty tough or does it scratch with ease? I have the chance to get one and I am just looking for some info...Thanks!!! ~baba~

I am not sure, but my package says "560BT XLTI Black powder-coated titanium"

It has a crinkle look to it. It seems to be thick and would hold up well, but I have not used mine.

When you scratch or Nick the powder coat titanium it will come off if you pick at it... Not real easy but you can scratch it off with your finger nail... ... I try it last night... I haven't cut anything with it, so I don't know if it will come off into your food... ... I'm sure it not good to eat... :barf:
