The article by Larry Oden in the Buck collectors club newsletter on the 700 series is great!

What a ton of information.

I carry a 701 in my pocket and it's the knife that got me interested in joining the club.

I only have the 701 and a 704, but I'm always searching ebay, the forums and hardware stores for the 700 series and will keep adding to my collection as the years go by.

Larry's article will be of great help well I add knives to my collection.

Thanks,

I haven't read the article. I assume there are five 700 series knives. Is that correct? I have 4 of them, a 701 (a large stockman), 703 (a medium size stockman), 704 (single blade medium size knife), 709 (a medium size two blade knife). I know they also made a 705, (a small 2 blade knife), any others?

I really like the 701, I gave one of them as a gift to my neighbor for watching my dog while I was on vacation. I wonder if he realizes how nice that knife is? Years ago I saw a 704, which I think is called a Maverick, with a stag handle in a SMKW catalog. I called up and they were sold out. Anyone know if they made other 700 knives with other handle materials, such as stag or bone? I have a few 300 series knives in bone and one David Yellowhorse design. I am just curious if they did that in the 700 series?
