0ver on the Becker forum a fellow who had yet to purchase anything as far as I could tell asked whether it would be a good idea to create a saw-blade on the back of a Becker BK9. Everyone told him that would be a bad idea. I posted photos of my solution to that situation. I am very happy with my Buck saw and have used it often over the 30 or so years I've had it. Note that it still seems in good condition and I can't say that I've done much with it other than use it and stick it back in the sheath. This is a quality piece of equipment -- mine seems as though it might last forever.

That's the Saw Buck model 154. Which I suspect is a play on words. Buck brought that out in 1987 with that flap over sheath. So, yours is the early one, 28 years ago--your close. Mine is the keeper strap sheath. Which Buck went to in 1989. Yes, a great tool. I carry mine in my work truck and use it all the time for limb cutting. My youngest and I hiked to a area and built a shelter with it and spent the night in it. She wrote about in the Sept. 2007 issue, 'Roughing It'. Haa, she was only 12 then. Now, she's in the AFROTC. Nice photos, Lawrence. DM
