The C-60 Ayoob in Spyderedge? Yes we MUST have one!

Getting back in the Spyder saddle has been most wonderful here of late>> the most recent aquistion I've gotten has been the new Sprint Run G-10 Massad Ayoob in PE. The difference between the original almite handled C-60 Ayoob and the newer G-10 handle is even more than a "day & Night" difference. This folder truly has taken on a Spyder Hall Of Fame status since it's been re-done in G-10.

But what I want the very most now is for this great Spyder to also be put out in a Sprint Run in Spyderedge. I truly have liked the Ayoob in Spyderedge more than just about any SE Spyder I've ever owned. I know I'm not the only one who loved the original Ayoob in Spyderedge. There are at least 6 guys I can think of that also liked the C-60 in Spyderedge. I even know 2 guys who really don't like Spyderedges that much but they both told me that they love the C-60 Ayoob in SE.

Being the G-10 Ayoob was such a great success and sold so well I would like to see the Ayoob to be also brought back in the Spyderedge variant. I know that more than a few of you would also love to see this great blade in Spyderedge. With the beautiful convex blade design it makes the Spyderedge at it's most useful. Other than maybe having the C-111 Captain model brought back in Spyderedge ( which I also want very badly) The C-60 Ayoob in Spyderedge is my most desired Spyder to have at this time.

OK who else wants one ( or 2 or 3 even :D). The Spyderedged Ayoob truly is the epitome of serrated Spyders

I had an older model Ayoob SE with the Micarta scales and sold it only because of the handle being a bit slick for my tastes. If this Spydie had G10 scales back then, I would have held on to it. IMHO, I highly agree that the SpyderEdge is the best edge type for this knife. If they were to do a run of the Ayoob in SE, I would definitely pick one up. :D

Shadow I couldn't agree with you more. The older model wasn't a bad knife by any means but that original handle did nothing for me>> but I always loved that blade design and that knife has stayed in my all time top 10 Spyders ever since I got my first one back in 2002. It would almost completely make my "knife year" if Sal would do a Sprint Run of the Ayoob in Spyderedge. Doc Snubnose and a few other of the long term Spyderco.com forum members have told me over the years that they loved the Ayoob in Spyderedge more than any other Spyder with a serrated blade.

That knife is so multi-functional as it is but in Spyderedge that blade is like a mini-chainsaw. I won't quit until I see one. I even rank it higher than the Mariner, original Police model and even the Harpy in SE which I think are Spyderco's. I would love to talk to Mr. Ayoob and see what motivated him to come up with that design. The design was truly at least 10 to 20 years ahead of it's time. What a beautiful and super functional blade design!! It simply must come back In SE!!

Not only for the Paramilitary but it also behooves me as to why they no longer offer the Mili in SE. Not to get off track from the C-60 Ayoob model but there just doesn't seem like there is much of a selection for many of the better quality Spyders in Spyderedge anymore.

I'm still wondering why they can't make many of these great blades available in Spyderedge on something like a "SPECIAL ORDER BASIS"? A guy can put half the money down for the model and then pay the rest when the Spyder Factory completes a batch of them>> and to make it worth their while they could wait until they got like 50, 75 or 100 units pre-ordered before they made them.

I have heard so many guys talk highly of the C-60 in Spyderedge and some have told me it was the very best serrated Spyder ever made in their opinions. There sure were not very many serrated Spyders with the edge geometry that the Ayoob offered.
