Great layout and beautifully done.

Although Talonite has up to 3% iron,it is my understanding according to www.carbideprocessors.com and others that this superalloy is RustProof. It just does not rust period. If indeed this is true, strike Rust Resistant and add the marketing edge this material deserves, "Rust Proof" to the layout. Further clarification welcome.
Hats off to our Talonite pioneers;Rob Simonich,Bob Allman,Doc Welch,Joe Talmadge,Cliff Stamp and others whose efforts expand the envelope of our hobby.

Stay safe and all the best, Phil <-----<

Great work as usual, Joel!

If memory serves I believe the actual street price will be between $250-$300

Joel,

Again another knockout ad!!!!

I too would think "corrosion resistant" would be more appropriate than rust resistant, but that's Will and Camillus' call.

If my info is right, street price should be in the neighborhood of $235 - $250 with an MSRP of $275 - $325.

Uhh,
Perhaps this has been covered already and I did not see it, but, isn't "Talon" the name of a Kershaw hawkbill titanium slabbed liner lock?
Please don't start WW III over this, as I just thought that name is currently being used and I'm a bit

Hi Misque,
Personally I see no problem with 2 different companys using the same name for a knife. When you go out and get something you'll be:
"Im off to get a CAMILLUS TALON"
OR
"Im off to get a KERSHAW TALON"

Either way it makes no difference. This is not having a bash at you, but I cant see why people get so worked up about similar/same names.

According to Will fennell, Kershaw has given their blessing to the use of the name Talon, since the Kershaw Ti34 talon is discontinued.

Will and Camillus felt that "TALON" was the best name for a knife made out of Talonite.
I couldnt agree more.

Cool!
I was hoping there was a simple answer that would not generate a lot of friction.
Thanks!
I love it when people can just get along like this!

Wendy Sorenson, who works at Carbide Processors, provided the inspiration for the Talonite (r) name. Her son, Talon, is a tough little guy, and never quits.
