Hehe- my wife's the big baseball fan-she watched the series with her cardinals jersey and hat on while I played Half-Life for the most part....

Still, nice when the hometown boys win.

Actually you're wrong, And not just a little bit but hugely wrong. MLB has teams from two contries, US and Canada, In this hemisphere Baseball is very popular in central and south america and the caribean. There are numerous players from Venezuela, Mexico,Dominican republic, Puerto Rico. The losing team in the world series, The Detroit Tigers, The majority of their starting line up are foreign born hispanic players.

Baseball is probably as popular in Japan as it is here in the US. And I understand it is also popular in Singapore South Korea and Taiwan.

How many of them can throw a 95 MPH fastball? How many of them can hit a 95 MPH fastball? How many of them can hit a 95 MPH fastball 400+ feet out of the park?

Sure it's not as much fun to watch as a bunch of nancy boys in short pants chasing a 10" diameter ball around a field and scoring by kicking that huge slow moving soft ball in to a goal the size of a railroad car.
