I've been kicking it around for a while now but, after having seen this I think I'm just about out of excuses.

(be sure to read the comment section, it's especially entertaining)...........

Can you make the case?

The video doesn't work here and the YouTube comments are typical YouTube comments.

Apparently in the UK you can open or concealed carry nothing w/ a fixed or locking blade longer than 3 inches w/out a good reason. (and ofc, desiring to carry something larger for self defense is NOT a good reason) Get caught doing so, and it's up to 4 years in prison and a fine of I think 5,000 Pounds.

What's even sadder, is that it appears that over the years most of the British population have been brainwashed by their domestic mainstream media into actually supporting this. :(

Hopefully the UK has not also banned the importation of testosterone because it would appear they are in serious need of some.

Emasculation Nation. They call it *safety*...pretty sure I would call it tyranny.

So glad that is not the case here.

Ok let's put the record straight . In the UK you can carry a slip joint knife with a 3in or less blade any were you like . What you can't do is carry a locking blade or fixed blade in a PUBLIC area without good reason . I have over 135 knives in all shapes and sizes locking and fixed . And use them on a regular basis . I use them for camping and hunting yes we can hunt on private land in the UK . As for carrying a locking knife and fixed blade in a PUBLIC area its fine as long as you have good reason . I.e your a builder butcher or chef . And you going about your daily business . As for the UK police as long as your not committing a crime you won't be harassed searched or hassled . And half the time you will be lucky to see one :) tho this is not ideal it's no hardship either I get to use and enjoy my knife collection . As for knife rights I totally agree with it and if I was in the US and would sign up to support it

No offense but, I've read PLENTY of horror stories in the comments of these videos. Like if someone is *offended* at the sight of your knife the coppers will probably be called and they will likely in the very least...confiscate your knife.

I'm sorry man, but you guys need to MAN-UP and organize over there and start UNbrainwashing the public and take your rights back. If you don't even have the right to defend you and yours from criminal harm (and yes, I know about that *reasonable level* of self defense crap your govt. says you have...how pathetic) then you are not free imo.

Time to start knocking on doors and telling the BBC brainwashed saps behind them that their ability to be comfortable DOES NOT trump your rights of self defense. Not being able to open carry big knives as a law abiding citizen is completely ridiculous.

Knives, just like firearms are inanimate objects...people kill people.

Sorry mate but you talking about something you know nothing about . You have your fair share of scared do gooders . It's a different life style in the UK . I don't need to go to the shopping with a fixed blade on my hip or a big bladed lock knife . And as I said if your going about your daily business . You won't be harassed by the police . If your a gang of hoodies and scrots and hanging around on a street corners then the police have the right to stop and search . And if they are carrying lock knives and fixed blades then their up to no good and the police can do something about it . As for self defence you can use reasonable Force . You can kill to defend your self if you are in fear of your life . My neighbour had been dating a bloke for a couple of months . He was a bit of an alcoholic and a hot head . I came home late one night I'm found in hiding in the bushes . He'd had an argument with my neighbour and local pub and come back to wait for her to come home . I asked him what he was up to and he's got aggressive and I tried to calm the situation down . Not knowing what had gone on . He took a swing at me some I beat the shit out of him and sent I'm packing off to the Hospital . I called the police and explain what happened . The officer said to me that he had obviously came to cause trouble and has got what he wanted no further action was taken . Now if I had stab him it would of been a different story unless he was carrying and using a weapon .

Neither do I, you know why? Because there's potentially tens if not hundreds of other law-abiding, legal people either concealed or open carrying around me at any given time. So, even if I'm not carrying, I still get the benefit of the legal citizen provided umbrella of protection. Here in America, we have a saying...'When seconds count, the police are just minutes away'.

Legal concealed and open carriers in the immediate vicinity beats identifier spray and / or blowing a rape / assault whistle and waiting for cops to show up all to hell.

You won't be harassed by the police

Depending on the cop, I know how that works...trust me.

If your a gang of hoodies and scrots and hanging around on a street corners then the police have the right to stop and search

Regardless of what someone might look like or who they are suspected to be affiliated with, if they have not been reported to have been seen committing a crime...I cannot begin to tell you how wrong this is. It's innocent until proven guilty...NOT the other way around. I guess the UK is going full-on 'Minority Report' now huh?

I guess it would make sense considering you have the creepy, invasive Orwellian '1984' CCTV surveillance to match.

He took a swing at me some I beat the shit out of him and sent I'm packing off to the Hospital .

Great story, pray tell...what do you think would've happened had he been physically stronger than you? Rape whistle and hope for the best as he pummels you into a grease spot?

Would be nice to have other substantial methods of self defense don't you think?

If you don't live there, or have intimate knowledge of their laws, how can you make a qualified judgement?

Oh yea, I almost forgot...

I've read PLENTY of horror stories in the comments of these videos.

Great to know... If I am ever in need of an attorney, I'll give you a call. A few comments from videos on YouTube and you have what is akin to a law degree...

Yeah, I'm sure everybody in the comment section are all liars and have nothing better to do than make up random stories on a video that not even 100,000 people have seen.

Yep, sounds totally logical to me.

Those are sweeping generalities that are untrue for America as a whole. You may believe it to be true for whatever part of it you live in, but that's it.

I'm not sure what your feelings about politics in the UK that you have picked up from the comments sections of a YouTube video has to do with joining Knife Rights. They are a lobbying group in the US, are they not?

Everybody knows that the youtube comment section is the definitive, authoritative, unimpeachable source for laws, law enforcement, and social interactions in a country you've never visited. You should know that Bill.

And no one trolling is also totally logical...
Seems a little ironic, eh?

Yeah, I suppose you're right. Maybe we can get Trump to just build more walls all around the few blue patches in the ocean of red. How's that CALEXIT movement coming along btw? :p

Sure you do, you're just trolling now.

Gonna' have to try harder than that Son :p

Take your political crap elsewhere. There's a forum here for that. And learn to quote properly.

So, your argument is I have to go there in person to find out if the reality of the situation matches up w/ the testimonials on Youtube?

MMKAY, here's an idea...YOU FIRST. I insist.

I have no desire to be made a sacrificial offering to *Allah* :)
