I saw a CF 7007 in person today, 3D G10 machining looks very nice, good color. The action was pretty good (and brand new), CF veneer is acceptable at the price point...the blade looked like it was ground by a 3 year old...viewed from the top the front of each side of the fuller was misaligned by about 1/8”.

We (the clerk and I) looked at 3 other NIB ones they had and all were horribly ground, bevels way off etc...and I’m not picky about that kind of thing.

I was hoping they would get QC in check after last years warped blade fiasco but so far it’s not looking good, it’s really too bad, I want to like this knife but the horrible QC makes that impossible.

if they pull this QC stunt on the copper natrix soon, they're going to learn a really expensive lesson on return costs...
(or am I the only person expecting it to sell briskly? - (I'm thinking more so than many other models?)

now I'm thinking/hoping some big resellers would check for basic failed QC before shipping? I'd pay an extra $5 easily to get this double checked before they ship

I bought the original natrix, it was horrible along with so many others with the same issues. Never again. I wanted the copper natrix cause I like copper... Not gonna happen because there Chinese manufacturer does such a poor job. To me it felt like a gas station knife. We see so many new Chinese knife manufacturers offering so much better quality and functionality at the price of these. Look at bestech for example.

If you listen to interviews there Chinese made knives are for mass market and target prices, not quality or enthusiast's

I've got a zt 0770cf, it's basically the 777 shape. and other than the speedsafe and tiny pb washers I love everything else about it. I forgot to spine whack test it. But don't think it will be a problem.

Bare knuckle should be a hit, made in USA, non assisted, should be a large improvement. Hopefully it won't suffer from lock geometry qc issues as being discussed in other threads .

oh it will sell and people will either sell it at a higher price or keep it in the collection and never use it. It's gonna be pretty small so it's not gonna fit everyone. But here's hoping it goes well for them. It's a great concept to sell knives. D2 and copper sound good.
