Just because you put together two things doesn't make it better. *cough* I rather have a nice Shiro 111 AND a nice CRK than this thing personally. It's like slapping ice cream on a steak. It might work for some, not me though. :p:D (Especially not at the price that is probably over 2 grand)

Yessir...

One of ten, possibly more later. All one offs featuring a hand carved titanium graphic by Lisa at CRK. All of the graphics are ones used by CRK in the past, I believe.

Shiro made the knives, custom division Hatis. Titanium backspacer, mirrored flats on blade and hand satin flats on handles. Even mirror polished the lock insert. While all Shiros are pretty meticulous, you can tell they went over these with a fine tooth comb. No break in period, perfect glass action right out of the box.

Exceptional collaboration.

To each their own for sure. It took some growing on me, I didnt initially love it out of the box. Im not really big on colorful knives. After handling/going over it in detail, I dont think I could ever bring myself to sell it.

It's the nicest knife I've ever handled. Subjective but I've handled a lot.

You need to enjoy it, that's all that matters. The colors work well and I am sure it's a great knife in terms of fit&finish as well as action and function. I actually considered the peasant version with just the blue alutex (I think that's what it is called) because I really like that blue.

An M390 Shiro 95 with the CRK Big Dipper Night Sky or Morning Sun UG artwork would be my ultimate grail knife, but the cost puts it way above the top end of my range. Oh, well...

The Hatis are really nice. If you join the Shiro pages on Facebook, you can score some killer prices. Alutex is correct btw.

Isn’t it functionally just a Shiro with decorative scales?

Smacks a bit of taking a Lamborghini, having it painted in the same place that paints Camaros, and calling it a “collaboration”.

This is not what I would have envisioned if you said there was going to be a Chris Reeve x Shirogorov collaboration. I would have thought it’d be, like, a zaan flipper with ceramic MRBS or something.

I’m sure it’s a great knife, and I’m not trying to put it down - it just strikes me as an odd item.

Maybe I'm just getting old and crotchety but it looks to me like a Russo-American copy of a Chinese flipper dipper special.

I mean, what your describing sounds like a dream come true but I'm still pretty happy with the collaboration.

I think it makes a lot of sense, really. They used their bread and butter model, the F95, and adorned it in the same styles CRK uses on theirs. All of the titanium inserts feature current and previous CRK patterns.

More like a Mustang being painted a Camaro's classic color as a special edition model. To me, it's a mutual respect thing.
