The Christmas Swap

Realstag and I have been doing a knife swap for Christmas for several years now. Each year we agree on a knife and buy it for each other. I suggested we share this tradition with our new friends here. If it is permitted we could each take a number in order starting with 1. Everyone would be required to send a knife with around a $30 value +/- to the person whose number comes after theirs. The last person would send one to number 1. Each person is responsible for sending the person in front of them their address via PM. We have to end somewhere so lets make it midnight Friday Dec. 21 2007.

I am not familiar with giveaways and the rules for them. If this is against the rules please close the thread.

If it is Ok then I am number 1
 
Fellas let's hold off on this until we (Gus and I) can confer with Spark about this matter. When not sure of the rules, the best thing is to contact the mods via email or pm before just plowing ahead.
 
Is this suppsossed to be like a secret Santa?
 
Spark, Gus and I have discussed the matter and have come to the conclusion that this would be better handled off the forums without establishing a new precedent for such here.

It's a nice enough idea but there are potential issues which we've discussed offline and are therefore going to nip it in the bud here at this late date.

So fellas, let's just shelve this idea and move on. If you want to pursue it, pursue it privately offline but not here on the forum.
