First the makers showed what they were bringing TO Blade, now collectors post what they brought FROM Blade, thus completing The Circle of knife.

I for one had a great time at Blade. I got to meet several new makers, catch up with old ones (no offense intended) and added some nice knives to my collection. In addition to the knives I bought, I was also able to discuss a couple of new projects: One with David Lisch and the other with Jerry Fisk. I have to say thank you to Lisch for being patient with me. I missed an opportunity to buy a beautiful small bowie with Walrus from him (my fault entirely) and he worked with me to find materials for a new one. I pulled him away from his table on more than one occasion to look at ivory, only to be told "too small, too big, too thin, etc" It was all good fun (for me anyway).

Here are a couple that I bought:

JR Cook, MS - Stag and Damascus Hunter

Don Hanson, MS - Gold Pearl and Damascus folder (Thanks to Don for letting me buy this one. It was sold prior to show but when the guy didn't show to pick it up, I was on deck)

Johnny Stout - Mammoth and Damascus "Baron" Folder with 24k gold engraving (This folder won "Best Folder" at Arkansas)

I also bought a beautiful Walrus and Damascus Hunter from Kevin Cashen, a cool small hunter from Mike Williams and CF Flipper from Bruce Bingenheimer, but I don't have photos of those yet.

I'm anxious to see what everyone got, so please post.

I only bought five knives this year, but each piece is a very fine fit for my collection, and I was thrilled to acquire each one.

Nice knives, Mark! I think I saw the Bing flipper. He should have a flipper for me at the Little Rock show so I'm very excited about that.

The Cook hunter is terrific, and the gold lip on the Hanson is top of the stack. Great pickups!

Great haul for me

I'll try and get a photo of my show haul later today. :D

Great hanging out with you Brandon, I was honored that you were interested in showing me your very fine collection, even if I still think that the Marsh knives look like folding steel bananas....very expensive folding steel bananas.:D

The Marlowe, Mayo and Onion knives I saw were exceptional, you have a good eye, and I enjoyed the time and knives very, very much.

Take care and Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Dudley, that is quite the lineup! Nice haul, for sure. Add your fixed blades....out-of-the park.

I was fortunate enough to pick this one up Saturday morning (Eric's photo), as the show was opening, from Eric Markman. Eric had to fight with customs at Atlanta airport all day Friday. He finally retrieved his Blade Show knives Friday evening, totally missing the first day of the show. This is my first knife from Eric, and I am very proud to have it. I like his work a lot.

Joe I got one from Eric at last year's Blade Show they are very cool and if you want to use them they are definitely usable and not overly expensive. Enjoy it

you already know what I got at blade so I don't want to post it again here but not bad for not going eh?

you guys got some great stuff thank you for showing it.

Airport security probably thought Erik looked suspicious because of his wooden shoes.
Beautiful Fighter Joe. I have one of Erik's knives and I am very fond of it.

Here are the other knives I picked up during Blade Show. I apologize for the amateur photos.

This one is from Kevin Cashen, MS. Damascus with Walrus Ivory and Damascus butt cap. Interesting story on the sheath. Kevin forgot all his sheaths and was kicking himself. I went over and talked to Kenny Rowe who had this beautiful cape buffalo sheath that IMO matches this knife perfectly. I think the combo works nicely so I was actually pleased Kevin forgot his sheaths.

This next one is a Mike Williams, MS, Quachita Hunter but in 3/4 size. My son skinned his first hog with one of my Williams so when I saw this smaller version I thought it would make a great gift to my son.

Here are a few pics of the Bruce Bingenheimer carbon fiber flipper. This knife is difficult to photograph for me but easy to carry.

Finally, I wanted to post another picture of the JR Cook with its clothes on. In addition to making great knives, Cook also makes beautiful sheaths. This one is removable from the belt holder, which allows you to take off the knife and sheath without removing your belt.
