The Classics

No knife collection is complete without the buck 110. Either new or passed down.

That's what I figured, too

I'm not sure which way to go with it... an Opinel is next, I think, since it belongs up there with the 110.

one of my first hand me downs was a colonial hawkbill electricians knife. there's quite a few good electricians knife threads here if you do a search

If its ok to ask how much is a good price for a Pioneer? I have been wanting one like that but really dont much cash on hand atm.

Ka-Bar USMC F/U
Buck 110

Two classics that should be in every knife collection

Hm... so I'm hearing a Ka Bar USMC and a traditional... I'll have to look into it. A Trapper would be a nice addition

And Dr Rez, you can find them around for around 20-25 bucks, they really don't go for too much.

Hard to argue with anything mentioned so far.

It was not that long ago when I read that the trapper was the most collected knife.

I would consider throwing a Barlow in the mix on our list.

This was the 2009 Traditional Forum Knife. A very unique barlow.

IMO there's not a whole lot of excuses to not at the least try an opinel while they are to a certain extent an acquired taste when you take into consideration their low price you don't have a whole lot to loose. Heck mine even kicked a sebenza out of my pocket for a couple of days.

Good to know, for the price they go for that's pretty impressive!
