A while ago, Cliff Stamp tested what was then our thickest and toughest model khukuri (this was back when we had 4 models) - the Bhojpure. The test revealed what Cliff said was the toughest buttcap he'd ever seen. Cliff put the blade through a serious workout, and ultimately bent it with about 400 pounds of torque weight (not the official term, but you catch my meaning).
I took the Bhojpure with me to Nepal to show it to the bishwakarmas. One of them smiled, took it from me, and disappeared into the recesses of the main shop. Before the day was over, a khukuri was thrust into my hand - it was the Cliff Stamp Bhojpure. It had been straightened, re-tempered, re-handled (the handle had to come off to heat the blade), and re-sheathed (the sheath had long since disappeared into the recesses of my storeroom). I'd auction it off, but I don't have the time to take a picture of it. But it's got a nice thick and fat blade, a perfect blade to scabbard fit, and superb fit and finish. Due to the total re-work, this khukuri is in perfect "like-new" condition (Cliff: If you think I'm wrong about that, please let me know by posting here).
Consider this post a "charity auction" - if you want it, start bidding here. Proceeds (the entire sales price) goes to Educate The Children. Bid here via post. The bidding stops on Midnight July 25th. Note: I'll be out town that day, so you may not be able to reach me when you win. But upon my return, you get the khukuri. Winning bid includes shipping to US address (no additional cost).
Remember also that we don't carry the Bhojpure anymore. So I guess it's a collector's item?
