The closest thing I have ever had to a Busse user

I haven't had a fixed blade since 20 years ago (an ontario combat knife).
A few weeks ago I ordered a RMD so I could have an inexpensive yet quality user till I find something I really like, and before it arrived I bought a SAR6SE in black canvas.

And then... I received and held the SAR6, and thought the handles were not quite right, I don't know how to explain it. It felt like my hand was kinda doing the pee pee dance trying to get a perfect grip but not finding it. I chalked it up to being designed for gloves and put the sar6 outta mind.

And then... one day, about the 10th time I pulled it from the safe, I tied a loop of 550 through the lanyard hole. Wrapped it around my thumb, grabbed a hold of the knife and BAM! it became the knife grip i was looking for. No more dancing hand. (for reference, my hand finds the RMD handle a bit small). But this knife is so awesome, I want it in G10! I still wasn't ready to delegate my sar6 in hand to user status. Carrying legality aside, Los Angels is lacking in wooded area- no cutting material, and no place to do it.

And then ... I bought an inexpensive AL sheath. My first kydex. I was torn. This beautiful (EXPENSIVE) flawless knife has never cut a thing and doesn't have a scratch. I fought the urge, and SAR6 went back into that cardboard tube and back into the safe.

And then ... several days later... I had my safe open to put in the babyhack I received and OMG AL's SHEATH WENT INTO HEAT!

dut ssssssSSS CLICK!

The amount of time it took for the knife to actually slide in is about how long it took me to realize I want to get a drop leg sheath for my sar6, and I want g10 SAR6, maybe an 8 too, in GANZA MAG HANDLES PLEASE!!! In addition to the mag handled chopper I've started keeping an eye out for. I'm surprised, after seeing what I thought were normal sheath scratches/gashes on knives, this SAR6 only has 2 very faint sheath lines.

From what I've been reading, I need a wife- fast! or I'm gonna be uber broke! And to think, most my life I have thought it was the wife that made the being-broke-thing happen.

Yep, you have it figured out, the wife is what keeps the spending in check in most cases. Well, it all depends on what is being spent on. Wives tend to pick other priorities, way out there priorities. Things like beer, liquor, more beer, er how's about some liquor, things like that tend to come last on the list. :p

thanks, ya'll

wow, last night, I went on a crazy binge and bought a bunch of busses of all sizes- at least $2k worth.

And then that pesky alarm clock started squacking and woke me up. What a dream it was.
