For several months now I've been veering away from most production pieces and have been looking at higher end production models and custom made pieces. Also, I had knives that just weren't being used, and were really variations on each other. Below is a listing of what I have in my collection, let's see your collections. Are you making the big jump? Instead of about 15 production knives a year, I hope I can limit myself to 5 custom and semi custom pieces a year.

I just ordered a Becker BK10 Crewman, and a Spyderco Military black blade(and got rid of my Endura and Delica in the process, which was not an easy thing to do).

Spyderco Native III main EDC
Gerber Silver Knight small EDC
Leatherman Juice EDC multi tool
Kershaw Splinter quince wood handle
Case 6316 or 6318? amber bone medium stockman
Uncle Henry 897UH stag stockman
Schrade 34OT stockman
Kershaw Scallion green scales
SOG Twitch II
Spyderco Pacific Salt
Buck 315 Yachtsman
SOG Flash II black blade
Benchmade Apparition
CRKT M16 spear point
Buck 110
Schrade 7OT
Buck 110 custom damascus stag handles
Victorinox Swiss Champ
Leatherman Wave new design
Spencer boat knife
large and small Rapala filet knife
Mora rubber handles knife
Benchmade Nimravus Cub
Benchmade Outbounder
Timberline Bush pilot hatchet
Swamp Rat Bog Dog
Scott Gossman (Razorback Knives) custom hunter 5160
custom made scalp knife, Scagel style, antler handles
custom made faux obsidian neanderthal style knife
Western W36 fixed blade

My truck knives, I guess you could call some of them Bug Out Bag knives.

Cold Steel Bushman
CRKT Falcon fixed
CRKT F1
Cold Steel kukri machete
Kabar shorty tanto

The above lists were hard to narrow down to, but I think I can afford to play with the big boys now. Now I just have to narrow down what customs I want to buy first.

At the beginning of the year I told myself that I was going to do the same thing -- with about the same ratio you suggest. I was all ready to order a new curly maple wood inlay Sebenza, and out of the blue got bitten by the slipjoint bug. I wound up with 10 or so Queen and other slippies. I can't say that I'm disappointed, but I'd still like that Sebbie. A lot of the custom slipjoints look great too.

I'm entering the low-priced custom market too. My first true custom was an Anza - made with my design ideas and material choices. It was ready in five days and cost under $100. I love it!

Now I'm considering a Kelgin knife. Send them a sketch, they make you a knife. Starting around $150.

I've also placed an order for a Blade Cutlery knife. Maybe someday...

As far as listing all of the knives in my 'accumulation'... Although they are all catalogued and photographed, it's not practical to list them all by hand. I will say, since you're interested in Schrade, that I have 28 different OldTimer patterns.

Best Wishes,
-Bob
