My new toy - the COM-BAT. Made from T6160 Aluminum with a 6oz lead load at the tip. Based on the batons the British Bobbies carried. 15.5" long. It is wicked.

My cape was ca. 1960.

My truncheon (the darker one) was even older. I believe it was early 50s or before. It's not made of lightweight wood like my wife's one. I believe it is either lignum vitae or teak.

As to my whistle, its markings give a clue as to its age: ARP (Air Raid police...)

That looks pretty shiney son, needs a matte finish son. It also need a screw cap on the end, keep the lead slug inside son. 100+ degree day son, lead loosens up inside son. Don't swing it too hard son, eject! eject! Lead dealeybop'll come flyin' out, smack someone upside the head son. Swing'er carefully, don't go turnin' that club into a slingshot son. Lead Flinger.

I like it but it looks a little S&M for my taste, I find the same problems with nice leather saps.
Maximus nice to see you on this side of the pond and thanks for the bobby gear pics.

To be clear - the hole for the lead has a big step groove machined into it about 1 inch down. When filled with molten lead, the groove is filled as well securing the lead in place. It is going nowhere.

THAT thing looks amazing. Much classier than my broken metal chair leg stuffed with lead fishing sinkers and rags...

I want it!
