a couple months ago I took the neighbors grandson fishing (he is in the 2nd grade), he caught one fish and was non-chelante about it. Well a couple minutes ago the neighbor comes over and hands me a story he wrote for a school assignment a week ago (he got an A) and it was about the fishing trip I took him on. Now this kid has computers to play with and cool toys and the fishing trip is what he chose to write about out of all of the things that have happened to him this year. How Great. I am so glad that it was a possitive experience for him.

:)

The best thing you can do for a child is take them fishing. I only wish my father took me as a kid. I had to fend for myself. I take my daughter whenever I can and it is a great way for us to connect.
Kudos to you! You should feel proud for a job well done! :D

My grandfather was a fisherman, so obviously I have a special place in my heart for fishermen. It sounds like he had a great time. That's a great story. I never actually fished with my grandpa, I always just sat there and watched him. I was usually too busy talking anyway. :D

Forget about Nobel or Pulitzer. His choice of topic is the finest endorsement you will ever receive as a human being. You can be mighty proud.

That's great man. Kids sure don't need fancy stuff. They just like to be with you and have you show them stuff and treat them well.

Kids are important.
