I have had the opportunity to start carrying my new badger a little bit and thought I might give a review on carry instead of my usual breakfast test.As my SJackyl awaits a new edge back at the bat cave ..err I mean Jerry's place I have been letting the badger take its place a little.First off one of the great things about the SJ and the BA is their ability to blend in to a dark outfit or dark t-shirt and not stand out to much. This chameleon ability allows the Badger to be sheeple friendly and at the same time very effective.Along with my Noeldechen sheath it rides high and comfortable until needed.I carried it in my new sheath all day at work, later to the grocery store and all around the community under my short jacket with no one awares.Best of all it was on my side where I needed it and not upside down or in an uncomfortable shoulder sheath, and not inside the pants which makes sitting in the truck uncomfortable.I am usually a fan of a 5-7 inch blade for all my outdoor activity but this badger has gotten me to rethink my side carry.I always carry a machete,or hatchet anyway so I may retire my SJ for a while and go cold turkey badger.I know this might come as a schock to some of you that have read my SJ reviews but I am serious,LOL!The badger is covert,in that it is invisible under a jacket,it blends well with backpack garb and it doesnt have a flashy gaurd or shiny buttcap which stands out.Paired with a large chopper such as a machete,or hatchet the badger makes an effective yet quiet wilderness tool.Later I will test it out on breakfast and report my findings back.
