K18 blem, $1,000 (extras of these swords will sell for $1,500 here this summer, so this is a $500 discount)
The sword had a flaw on it that was small enough it slipped through until I inspected it. I think I remember when this flaw happened, a cutter broke during trim out and embedded some carbide that tore chunk out when it was pulled out.
It has already been through all of the finishing and sharpening steps so I figured I would sell it.
Everything we ship has flaws in it. When I get to the point I no longer see the flaws in my work, that just means my eyes are too old for this. So my rule of thumb has always been if it were something I purchased would I be disappointed in it and this little divot crosses that line. Normally this would go in the creek bed, but these swords are A: spectacular and special, and B: of very limited production and C: too big to easily bury. With this in mind I thought maybe someone who plans to beat the piss out of their sword might have a use for this.
Be aware it has a flaw and it is lightly used.
The sale comes with some strings attached. You have to be buying it to use it not to flip it, and if you ever do sell it you have to disclose that it was purchased as a blim. <--- on your honor. With these contingencies in mind I have to ask the sale be limited to people who have bought knives from us before and are at least somewhat regulars around here so that I know you.
