Use an LED bulb. You won’t melt the Can and you’ll lose that yellow light that incandescent bulbs have.
If you want to spend a little more you can get one of the LED bulbs that you can adjust the color output on.

Considering this took about 15 seconds to set up, not bad for a $6.88 Walmart trash can. I turned the shop lights off and used a small LED light. An additional light source and a drop cloth of some sort would probably make for a decent shot I think.
