Hi, i was just wondering what people think of the CRKT BLADELOCK 2. i've never handled one and was wondering whether it can be opened single handed like some liner locks and how smooth is the opening. also is 888knivesrus good to deal with or do you recommend another seller of these knives (don't want to get ripped off). this will be my second decent folder as i only have a schrade and want a really good folder at a good price....I have a really good fixed blade from Buck and one from Kershaw (plus an antique fixed blade with a silver handle from henry hobson & son) but need a good folder with plain edge, serration kinda limits sharpening IMO.

Thanks for any help. :)

Also if you could supply some pictures from a few angles for those with one it will be greatly appreciated. and for one of these what would you recommend to use for sharpening, all i have is a fine grain stone but its a little harsh on a folder.

I have one and it appears to open very smooth and yes, it is open one handed. The best price I found is at one stop knife for 53.99. I may be prejudice here as I love CRKT knives

thanks, i was looking at spiderco knives etc but this one really grabbed my attention and i hate serrated blades for the tasks i use them for. and anyway the posts i've seen on here they give fair praise to them.

If by "spiderco" you mean Spyderco, many of their knives DO come in both serrated AND plain-edge.

woops, oh well i'm not a fan of them anyway (good knives but not for my taste). and it seems "Spyderco" focus a lot on the serrated edges from the ones i've seen.

I have a Bladelock 1 and am not overly impressed. Haven't even used it (still NIB) bought it on a whim. I opened it to make sure it worked then put it in the "knife drawer". A little too heavy for an EDC for me. I prefer a Spyderco Native (similar in the price you're looking at).
