How about a thread dedicated to the Crooked River and Mini Crooked River? A place to post pics and any info and stories relating to them.

My custom Crooked River should be classy enough to represent.
I had it made specifically to pair with my S&W 629.

Surprised haven’t seen more people get the Mini Crooked River. Wish they offered it in G10 like the bigger version.

I entered Benchmade's Ultimate Experience contest, which, as I understood, gave me the privilege of purchasing the new limited edition micarta-handled Mini Crooked River after June 15th. It's the 17th and as far as I can tell my special privileges have not yet been bestowed. I've been on the website and logged-in...nothing. I even attempted to use the website's chat feature and was shut down. What gives? Did they mean that the special day will come on an undetermined date in the future, some time after June 15th? I will stay tuned...just don't want to be the dude who missed out:(
 
I still want to handle a Mini Crooked River. I haven’t gotten a chance to see one in person yet :( I think a Mini CR in the grey G10 the full size has might be something that could supplant my custom Griptilian as my second knife. Of course they don’t offer that yet, but the wood might work. If anyone wants to lend me their Mini for a few days to try out let me know ;)
 
I bought one with a 20% off at rei. It's just sitting on top of my dresser. At some point I'll edc it, not sure what's holding me back.
 
The Crooked River's downfall has always been the G10 backspacer. I just don't care for it. In the past I've dyed them black but the color never takes really well and in a few weeks it's coming off. I ended up ordering a new backspacer from @ROGUE BLADEWORKS and I think it classes up the knife quite a bit.

Unfortunately, I did not actually win the contest...at least as far as I know. Everyone who entered, earned the right to purchase a limited number (5) of the limited edition mini crooked rivers--BM only made a limited run of 500. The only way to get one was to enter the contest. I went ahead and bought 4 with plans to resell 3 of them.
