The Crusader Forge Metro Folder

Wanted one for a while,just got it today.I was worried it would be uncarriable,from everything i read, but if you can carry a zt 0200 or 0300 this isnt a problem.Its flat & the handles are pretty comfortable.There is a real nice bevel & grind on this edge.This is the latest version,which doesnt have those sharp hard cuts in the handles like the earlier models.

the coating looks pretty, and I like the fliper design. what's the blade and handle material?

I believe Crusader Forge uses S30V steel and the handle material is G-10.

I had a chance to hold a CF folder at a local store, damn that thing was huge. If I were to get on, it would have to be the metro folder, though I think I might prefer the non-flipper. Nice score:thumbup:

i have a 3in. & a 4in. c.f. one thing you'll love besides the triple tempered s30 is 4 0r 5 years from now you will have no play in the lockup.dennis

Its triple tempered s30v,& one side is olive g10.the 4 1/4" blade model with all ti handles must make even this look small.this is about the upper limit when it comes to pocket carry.it does carry well, though,much like a thicker zt 0300 with similar weight & size...

the left c.f. is 2006 , right is 2009, & the millie is 2010.
if there is a stronger folder than the c.f. i have'nt seen it.--dennis

Dennis I have three questions. All questions pertain to the middle knife, I'm not sure of it's name or designation.

Are the finger grooves comfortable?

How is the weight as compared to a ZT 0300?

Can you show a photo in your hand for perspective?

weight is 11 oz., no sharp surfaces except edge proper. this a a huge knife that probably be carried in work or hunting clothes. you might carry in waistband or a belt sheath--dennis

Man that thing is HUGE. I like large folders but I guess not that big. I call that XL.

Thanks Dennis I will opt for one of the smaller versions probably like the OP is showing or the other CF in your photo.
