I have been bitten or in this case ,clawed by the 74 bug.
I'm using my pond green everyday and loving it. Tick or Leech Bone might be a better description because it has latched on to me and I can't get rid of it.:)
I'm a complete sucker for advertising so when the Cougar clawed bone 74 emerged it grabbed my attention.
As an aside has GEC employed one of those people who name paint colours for dulux to name their jigged bone patterns and colours?
The names seem somewhat imaginative -but I like that don't get me wrong.I'm probably jealous of that person and I want their job.
Heres the comparison pics

The Northfield Cougar clawed and the Tidioute Grizzly cut jigged bone.
Interestingly I noticed immediately that the out of the two the Tidioute has a smoother more polished ,more "refined" finish. The Northfield has striations in the claw marks reminiscent of worm groove.
That gives it better grip and functionality of the two which I find interesting as Tidioute is reputed to be the more workaday range than its more upmarket cousin Northfield.
OK the Tidioute is a 73 which might explain why it is generally speaking beefier and more plush than the 74.The 74 rides slim thats for sure -a big plus.

Thanks for showing us the comparison, Meako! That Cougar/Tick/Leech bone is way cool!
I want some! Off to the dealer!

Very good pix. Eveyrtime I look at some of the softer trees in my garden I see my Cat's scratch marks and see natural beauty:D

I was very surprised by the slimness of the 74 compared to the 73. The grizzlys are from 2011.
Charlie the incredible variety of bone jigging that we see is astounding. Cougar claw is innovative and interesting .Bold and beautiful .:) the reference to ticks was the spring green 'ol swampy' - its been on me since I got it despite my previous misapprehensions about the dye job.

Yes, the slimness of the cougar claw is astounding -- it just disappears in the pocket. Actually the blade size is a tad longer for my comfort carry (#15), but the slimness makes it immensely enjoyable and useful.
