Tenacity, indeed; the Spyderco Tenacious has claimed yet another victim. This time, it's me!

Seems as if everyone I know that owns one, including popular YouTube knife reviewers, has been bitten by the Tenacious. Cutlerylover, nutnfancy, our own CrimsonTideShooter, and now me.

So it's Friday night and I'm in the process of touching up all my weekly EDCs. This week, the Tenacious was one of them. After coming off a strop, I cleaned the edge on my t-shirt as I normally do. No knife has ever harmed me in the process, but the Tenacious decided it not only wanted a slice of my shirt but out of my thumb, as well. Nice, clean cut through both. And no, I'm not taking pics :D

Put on your tinfoil hats, it's time for Spydie conspiracy time. Who else has been bitten by their Tenacious?

My Tenacious has bitten my several times over the past 6 months. Fortunately it has bitten badly yet. I cant think of a logical reason why, some of my other knives that I fondle more and have had longer still haven't drawn blood.

I just got my first one in the mail this afternoon so I'll keep this in mind.

When I First Got My Tenacious(Hopefully Getting Blue Soon) It Bit The Hell Out Of Me Right Out Of The Box.
My Friend Then Called Me An Idiot And Proceeded To Get Bit Like 5 Minutes Later Lol.

my tenacious has bit me many a time. several little scratches. one that left my finger with out the ability to feel....which i might add was kinda a plus seeing as i work in a kitchen and i am slowly loosing feeling in my hands anyway

you know my 2nd spyderco was a tenacious. I got it as the va hillsville flea market (if you go the best knives and guns are in the VFW). Went back to the car to unload my haul. I was checking out my knife and closed the blade right on my index finger. almost cut the tip off.

The knife was wiped down and exchanged for a salt1 which knows not to bite the hand that sharpens it.

I think i might have to give a tenacious another chance. blue is my favorite color.

Maybe because it doesn't have that under (double) choil configuration like some other Spydercos? That, added to the liner lock.... Less space between the finger and the edge, and I find liner lock designs have to be closed carefully. Less forgiving of imprecise handling, as it were.

I've carried my Tenacious for a few years now after buying directly from Sal himself at the AG Russell knife show in Rogers, AR. Mine's never bitten ME, but it came sharp out of the box and once I put a nice convex edge on it, it's bit a few people that wanted to look at it and one gentleman who thought to threaten me with a Benchmade.
He pressed the tip of that Benchmade against my kidney area and I put that Tenacious in his groin as I whispered, "I've got another kidney, you got a spare?"
It sliced his pants open and bit into his leg a bit, without my even trying. Love my EDC

so far so good on my tenacious! and hey slight i live in wytheville i go to the hillsville flea market every year!

tenacious hasnt bitten me....well, dont have one, but my para 2 m390 bit me twice last night (opening beer) bit me multiple other occasions, and cut my friends finger to the bone and slightly filleted it

yeah, as far as I'm concerned, the tenacious as a legacy of blood. almost a year ago, I was cutting of the top portion of a tomato (the part that connects it to the plant) for a nice sammish, and instead of taking of a slice, I decided, as I usually do, to dig the tip of the knife around the mentioned portion and cut it in a circular motion. when the edge came in contact with the green and harder part inside the tomato, I applied just a tad bit more pressure, and sure enough, given the sharpness level we all keep in our knives, the knife passed right through the tomato and came out on the other side. guess what was on the other side? that's right, my hand. that fat tip pierced through my hand like a needle through silk.
still have that tenacious scar..

Awesome to hear since I have a Tenacious that will be in my mailbox Tuesday...

Already got bit by a Baby Boa a few weeks back. Maybe that's what I get for being away from knife collecting for so long.
