Here is one that was designed by the customer. I wasn't too crazy about that big hunk of stag with such a short blade, but he picked out the stag from what I had on hand, and was adamant about the blade length. He picked it up today, and was tickled pink.

O-1 Tool Steel
Sambar Stag Handle
Nickel Silver Guard and Butt-Cap
OAL - 8 1/4"
Blade Tip to Guard - 3 1/2"

Thanks for taking the time to look............. Robert

Robert,
That turned out real nice!
I can see why you would be concerned but I think you got the flow right:thumbup::thumbup:
Thanks for sharing.

I love it. I'm a huge fan of a short blade with a handle that fills my hands.

I like it a lot - great work.

Robert , that is a beautiful knife . I do agree with you ,I would prefer a longer blade but we all have different likes , as long as it is not ugly , I will try and please the customer .

That handle does not look too big for the blade at all. It has a nice balance I think.

Thanks guys,

The customer could see in my eyes and through our discussions that the design was not something I would normally make. He just laughed and said........ "It is exactly what I wanted".

You never know........ Maybe I need to broaden my horizons and try some of the things that I usually don't prefer. Who knows........ I might find my style after all. :)

Robert

It looks great. A nice short blade for hunting, with a handle length for good control. Very interesting.

I think the customer was right this time. That's a great looking knife. The proportions work really well. You can be really proud of it.
