... When last I wrote to all of you, we had left off with the story of my wife making the discovery that one of our 3 girl cats, was actually a little boy kitty!

Well, today I am happy to announce that Swat, (the cat with an attitude problem) has just given birth to her first batch of young. Mother and 4 kitties so far are doing well.
This was the first such blessed event of this type I have ever been involved with.

Last night Swat was with me in the computer room. Now My wife had been warning me of "Swat's condition" for some time now, but do to my own gut feeling that the "date" is a long way off in the future, I didn't take my wife's warnings that seriously.

Then my wife came down before supper was ready and asked where the cat was? Now I had seen it someplace around my legs not 5 minenets ago, so I had my wife check by my computer desk.

She started looking for the cat under the desk, around my feet, then under the table.

"Here she is, behind the file cabinet" said my wife.

"What is she doing back there?" I asked

There was an odd moment of hesitation from my wife....

"Giving birth!" came my wife's answer.

well,,,we scooped up the still as yet one (almost 1&1/2) cat, and headed for my shop as fast as we could carry her. After a bit of a comedy act as I searched all my pockets 3 times each looking for the key to open the locked shop as my wife kept saying, "Hurry, hurry hurry!" we got in and set Swat down in a little soft box I had made for this moment.

The rest of the story is way too messy to share here,,,,lets just say that Im glad to be a guy after seeing that...

We gave Swat her privacy, and this morning I think I have counted 4 little kittens all pushing each other to get the best position on mommy.

The kittens are not at all the color of our (now fixed) crazy male cat, so this means that the father must be some out of town talent...

as I start on my next blade with the Rex Walter 52100 steel I just got in the mail, I will have a very interested mother watching my every move I bet...

Your adventures, or should I say mis-adventures allways brings a smile to my face, glad to hear moma cat and kittens are doing fine.:D
