Here is something a little different from me. I thought I would try one with a "tactical" look. I call it the DS-1 (Dark Side).

Now I have to get busy trying to figure out an appropriate sheath for it. Since I don't do Kydex, I will have to come up with something in leather.

Anyway, thanks for looking..........Robert

Flat ground O-1 Acid Etched
Neoprene Handles w/Micarta Pins
8 3/4" OAL
4" Blade - Tip to Handle

Edited to add: Here is the Sheath that I came up with:

Man that looks cool. How did you like doing that hammond?

Those free-hand hammon lines are OK, but my next venture is to try clay coating. I have just got to come up with a suitable substance.

I guess I could try the dirt in my back yard. When you get that stuff on your shovel, you simply throw the shovel away :D :D

I edited the post to add a pic of the sheath. You may have to hit "refresh" to see the added photo.

I like it. There are a lot of cool design elements there. Exposed tang, neoprene handles, finger index, recurve. hamon. Whew~! Its a great journey going around that one.

Is that Ripcurl or O'Neil neoprene? ;) Just kidding, it must be a different kind
of hardness than wetsuit neoprene. The knife has kind of a sharkyness to it,
nice tactical look going on.

I purchased two pieces of the stuff. They marketed it as "Neoprene". It is really somewhat soft, and has a good feel in the hand, even when wet.

I actually think it may be a slice of one of those big truck tire "gators" that you see lying in the middle of the interstate. :D

Thanks...........Robert

It's very nice! :) Why the 3 holes at the end of the handle? Do they have a function?

The holes could be used for some type of lanyard set-up, other than that, they just look pretty neat.
